Players of CAF Confederation Cup campaigners, Rangers International Club of Enugu have been placed on half salary following unimpressive performances in the 2019/20 league, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands

The 2016 NPFL champions have been churning out unfortunate results in league matches including losing three matches consecutively last week.

SCORENigeria learnt that Enugu Rangers players have been placed on half salary until they start winning again.

At the weekend, Rangers were upstaged by promoted Akwa Starlets 2-0 in front of their fans.

They have lost three of their first three games and are now just two spots above the relegation zone on four points.

New coach Salisu Yusuf has admitted he faces a difficult task of turning around the fortunes of ‘The Flying Antelopes’.

“We want to take the team to the next level from where they are now,” the Super Eagles coach declared on his arrival in Enugu.

“We know it is not going to be easy. We need to change some things but is going to be a gradual process.”

On Sunday afternoon, Yusuf will lead out Rangers against 2018/2019 Egyptian cup winners, Pyramids FC, in an opening Group A tie of the CAF Confederation Cup.
