Tanzania beat rivals Uganda 3-0 in Dar es Salaam last week Sunday to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations finals for the first time since 1980.

The Taifa’s Goalkeeper trainer Emeka Amadi has told Bestchoicesports.com.ng that two things – review of past matches by the team as well as hardwork and effective manager-player relationship led to the coach and his technical crew to bring out the best in the players
“There was no magic, my brother. When you see someone who is passionate about his job and eager to develop stars from the scratch, you will understand why Amauneke succeeded in Tanzania.
“What made him to lead the team to Egypt AFCON is simple – reviewing their previous matches, detecting their mistakes and reviewing it with the players and practising how to reduce the mistakes
“Hard work was also key to it especially manager-player relationship because as a coach you need to understand the personalities of your players individually and be able to relate with them
“There was no magical act, rather hard work, teaching and practising match situation-related training contributed, the former U-17 goalkeeper said told our reporter.
Amadi described coach Amuneke as a wonderful coach and said the team will target a good outing in Egypt with first priority being to qualify from the group stage
“We are going to work harder in all department especially in my department. Goalkeeping department is very important and it will help us to compete in Egypt. We will take the tournament as it comes, one game at a time. The main priority is to qualify from the group stage and we take it up from there
“Coach Amuneke is a wonderful technician who uses social democrative style to train the team. He takes his time to analyse and criticise the team and provide solutions. He has a very good listening ear for his players,” the 2013, 2015 Golden Eaglets goalkeeper trainer said
