My appointment As Abia Warriors Sporting Director is a call to service – Patrick Ngwaogu

Newly appointed Abia Warriors Sporting Director, Mr Patrick Ngwaogu, says his new role in the club is a call to service.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Bestchoicesports.com.ng, the former FCT Football Association’s 1st Vice Chairman noted that his appointment will not only help him to do more for the club but also be a launching pad for the club to move higher.
“First and foremost, I will give God the glory for this new role. I will not also forget to appreciate the management of the club for this opportunity. It means a lot.
“For me, this is a call to service. And I have no option than to give my best to the club and my state. It is a new track for me and expectedly there will be new challenges. But challenges are motivations to a willing heart,” he said.
Announcing the appointment Friday, the chairman of the club, Pastor Emeka Inyama said the decision to promote the club’s Match Reader to Sporting Director follows his high level of man management and thorough professionalism he has brought into the club.
Patrick Ngwaogu a CAF Licensed coach and one of the few Nigerian coaches trained abroad in Match Reading and Analysis, hails from Umuode Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North of Abia State. He was the immediate past Vice Chairman of the FCT FA, immediate past Secretary of FCT Coaches Association, an influential member of FCT SWAN. Groups he left with immense track records.
The Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL side, Abia warriors Friday named the former Match Reader of the club as the club’s Sporting Director. He is expected to resume work immediately.
Ngwaogu who is expected to resume work immediately, will bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment.
