‘NFF Is My Parent’ – Kadiri Ikhana Shows Gratitude To Football Federation

Former Super Falcons coach, Kadiri Ikhana has expressed gratitude to Nigeria Football Federation, NFF for their support and help in his health situation, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Ikhana who led Nigeria Premier League side then, Enyimba FC to the nation’s first ever CAF Champions League in 2003, said the federation has been supportive since he informed them about his health challenges.

Mr Ikhana who is recovering from one of three surgeries to be performed on him at Alliance Hospital in Abuja, said NFF has been in charge of his hotel, feeding and transportaion expenses adding that the federation has also approved sum of money for his medical treatment.

“Fortunately the general secretary of Nigeria Football Federation is my five and six. When we were young, we played together a lot.

“The hotel I am staying in Abuja here, the NFF is responsible for my feeding and for my accommodation including my wife. I think they are great.

“And they have been in charge of my transportation to and fro the hotel and the hospital. If I call the driver at 12 midnight, he will be here.

“Even before I came here, they have already told me that I have their support and apart from that, certain amount of money have been approved although I do not know how much yet but the secretary general told me that some amount of money have been approved for me for my first treatment.

“So, NFF is my parent and even though I expected them to help but they are not under obligation to do so.
Therefore I want to sincerely thank them for their support they are kind enough to be helpful,” he said.
