Rangers International FC of Enugu this evening dethroned MFM FC as the new leader of Group A after they defeated Kwara United in a rescheduled match played today in Ilorin, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Ifeanyi George and Godwin Aguda scored in a space of 3 minutes in first half to give the Flying Antelopes a 0-2 lead at the break.

George opened the score in the 25th minute of the encounter while rave of the moment in the Enugu-based club, Aguda scored the scores in 28th.

Ebenezer Odeyemi scored Kwara’s only goal in the 65th minute to take the match to a frenzy finish.

With the win, the Flying Antelopes now have 24 points from 11 matches, a point ahead of former table toppers MFM FC.

They still have three outstanding games caused by their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Rangers coach has severally reiterated that the target of the Coal City club remains an immediate return to continental competition.

Rangers have played a total of 11 matches, won 7, lost 1 and drew 3.
