Player of the home-based Eagles (styled Super Eagles B) have decried the non payment of camp allowances since the team resumed camping before the CHAN 2020 qualifiers 1st leg match against Togo.

A member of the team who pleaded anonymity told FreekickNaija that it’s even tougher for those who were also part of the U-23 because they have not yet received match bonuses for the games against Sudan and Libya.

“It’s been a tough time for us in camp,” the source disclosed. “Since we resumed camping for the games against Togo and even traveling to Senegal for the WAFU Tournament, we have not received any camping allowance and no one has addressed us on the issue.”

It could be recalled that the Eagles Team B lost against Togo in Lomé in the first leg of the final qualification round for the 2020 edition of CHAN before heading to Senegal for the WAFU Cup where they were kicked out by Cape Verde in the quarter final of the Plate.

Meanwhile, the U23 Team who have actually qualified for the U23 AFCON holding in Egypt are yet to be paid their match bonuses.

“Since winning our games against Sudan and Libya, we have not received our bonuses and most of the players are not happy.

Majority of the U23 players are part of the Super Eagles B and we have been in camp for months without resources and motivation” the source further stated.

The team led by Imama Amapakabo is back to the country and are in still in camp preparing for the return leg against West African neighbors, Togo
