2022 World Cup Qualifier: Super Eagles Arrive Lagos, Set For Cape Verde Battle

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived Lagos, South West of the country from Morocco where they defeated Liberia 2-0 in the matchday 5 of the 2022 World Cup qualifier Group C, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The players, technical crew as well as NFF officials arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos around 9am on Sunday morning via charted Air Peace Airline.

“We have landed Lagos, Nigeria safely via chartered AIR PEACE AIRLINE,” the team said on its Facebook page.

The Eagles described their journey back to Lagos as smooth and called on fans to patronise the airline.

“It was a smooth journey. Thanks to the entire Air Peace crew for the great hospitality. Hey fans, you should fly Air Peace this festive season.

“We’re back to work. Getting set for the game against Cape Verde on Tuesday.”

The Eagles will battle the Blue Shacks of Cape Verde in the last Group C World Cup qualifying race in Lagos on Tuesday.

The match will take place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

The Super Eagles need just a draw to scale through to the playoff as the Gernot Rohr-led lads sit 12 points on the table 2 points above their Tuesday rivals, Cape Verde.

The match will kickoff by 5pm Nigeria time.
