8th Dreamland/Embassy Of Hungary U-19 Cup: Mailantarki Academy Record History

Mailantarki Care Sports Academy Wednesday made history as they won the first match in the 8th edition of Dreamland/Embassy of Hungary U-19 Cup Championship in Abuja.
The Gombe State based Academy recorded the first victory of the tournament after the first match between Hookes Sports and Dreamland Academy ended goalless.
Sadiq Mohammed, with jersey no 17 scored the first goal of the competition in the 11 minute for Mailantarki Care Sports Academy against Traveling Academy
Abdulaziz Musa made it 2-0 in the 18 minute of second half to give the young lads the deserved three points.
Speaking after the match, the Chief Executive Officer/Chairman of the academy, Honourable khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki commended the boys for doing a great job in winning their opening match.Honourable khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki
He however stated that while chasing to win the trophy is important, getting his players picked by the European scouts in the tournament is the more crucial target.
“I commend the boys for the win, they should keep it up.
“We want to reach the next stage and see what happens but the most important thing is to showcase these talents to the Europeans and hope they are selected,” he said.
The 8th edition of the Dreamland/Embassy of Hungary U-19 Cup kicked off in Abuja with 12 football academies slugging it out in the 5-day competition.
The tournament which started on Wednesday, December 1 will end on Sunday 5th with over 10 European scouts on ground to select the best legs in the competition.
