9th Inspector General Of Police Taekwondo Open Championship Postponed

The Nigeria Police Taekwondo Association has indefinitely postponed the 9th edition of Inspector General of Police Open Taekwondo Championship earlier slated to hold this month, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report
The championship was slated to hold at the National Stadium, Lagos.
The organisers of the championship cited the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the suspension.
It could be recalled that following lockdown that has crippled all sectors on the nation’s life, sporting activities were also suspended till further notice.
Chairperson of the Nigeria Police Taekwondo Association, CSP Stella Ebikife who briefed the media on the suspension, said the move was in line with the safety guidelines announced by the Federal Ministry of Health during the pandemic.
Ebikife encouraged taekwondo athletes to continue limiting their physical social connections, maintaining social distancing, and keeping up with proper hygiene until the NCDC announces the resumption of normal sports operations in the country.
