2020/2021 NPFL Season: Warri Wolves Retain 20 Players Ahead Of New Campaign

Management of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Warri Wolves F.C have retained only twenty players that featured for the team in the 2019/2020 season, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
The club, however, is silent on the number of disengaged players.
The CEO, of the ‘Sea Siders’, Etu Moses who made this known, said preparations by the club for the new season are almost done and dusted.
The Warri Wolves boss confirmed that the players whose services were needed for the coming season have been contacted and are expected to join the club’s training camp as soon as normal sporting activities resumes in the country.
“We have started preparations for the coming season as we have made contacts with the players needed to help us achieve our target for the new season. We have also silently traded at the transfer market and contacted some players that will be joining us from other clubs. As soon as we conclude negotiations with them, they will be unveiled.
“Only twenty of the players that featured for us last season will be privileged to wear the club’s jersey in the coming season”
The club CEO, further said the rebranding process of Warri Wolves which started last season will be one of the top priorities for the club next season.
“Considering what is happening globally with reference to the corona virus, the club before the shut down of sporting activities in the country has purchased some equipments that will be put in place to ensure the safety of players, fans, and any one coming to our home ground, the Warri city stadium next season.
Mr Etu, thanked the government and the good people of Delta state for the support and encouragement they received upon the clubs return to the elite division last season.
It would be recalled that Warri Wolves FC ended the 2019/2020 NPFL season on Seventh position at the end of the season.
