Newly Appointed Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum has deactivated his Twitter account days after he was announced by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF and the head coach of the senior women national team, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

A search for Mr Randy on Twitter whose handle is @CoachWaldrum gets feedback that the user ‘doesn’t exist’

Mr Randy who was appointed head coach of the University of Pittsburgh women’s soccer team on December 19, 2017 was on Sunday named head coach of the nine-time Africa champions by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

However, a check I his Linkedin profile indicate that he is yet to update his profile there to reflect his current appointment more than 72 hours after.

“Head Women’s Soccer Coach at the University of Pittsburgh” is what his Linkedin profile status reads.

But the coach has provided explanations on why he deactivated his twitter account.

Goal reports that after Tuesday’s local media outcry over the conditions of Waldrum’s appointment, the American’s Twitter account was suspended – a shocking development he provided an explanation for.

“As for my social media, I’m working on one for the Super Falcons now,” he said.

“I hope to have it up very soon. I’m looking forward to meeting you and all the others very soon.”

Even though the duration of his contract are still unclear, Waldrum is expected to lead the Super Falcons to the 2022 African Women’s Cup of Nations and qualify for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

The United States of America coach is expected to lead the Falcons to 2021 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers as well as qualify the team to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
