Egypt national team captain, Mohammed Salah has expressed his desire to with the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of Egypt’s clash with Nigeria on Tuesday, Salah said that he has been with the Pharaohs for 10 years and claiming the trophy would mean a lot to him.
“We have to work very hard to live up to our expectations, playing every game as a team to win.
“I am yet to win my first title with Egypt, it would be an honor to win the AFCON, it’s been ten years since I started representing my country, and claiming the trophy would mean a lot to me.”
On his choice for The Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award, Salah said he did not vote for himself but added that he would keep the identity of whom he voted for personal.
“I did not vote for myself, but I won’t reveal who I voted for.”
Egypt will take on arch-rivals Nigeria in Group D clash on Tuesday by 5pm.
