The management of Nigeria National League, NNL side, Heartland FC of Owerri has asked its players to report back to camp as they begin preparations for campaign in the lower league.

The directive was contained in a post the club made on its social media on Monday.

The statement further noted that players are expected to report back from their break between 22nd and 28th of this month.

“Heartland Commence Preparations for 2022/2023 Season.

“The management of Heartland FC of Owerri has recalled her players for the new season .
The players are by this notice manadated to report back to camp immediately, from the 22 nd day of October till the 28th October 2022, to commence preparations for the new season.

“The management wishes the returning players a safe trip back to Owerri,” the club said.

Heartland FC were relegated to the nation’s second tier league after they ended their campaign in the 2022 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL 18th with 45 points.
