Former NPFL Highest goalscorer, Chijioke Mbaoma’s contract with Libya side, Al Ittihad has been terminated.

No details yet concerning the reason. However, the termination is said to be based on “mutual consent”

Meanwhile, Mbaomo, 22, has joined NPFL side, Rivers United.

The prolific striker signed a two-year contract with the Tripoli-based club in September, 2024 following an outstanding season in Nigeria.

Mbaoma, scored 17 goals last term for NPFL side Enyimba before briefly joining Heartland FC earlier this summer.
