Abia Warriors Dump Enyimba Stadium, Move To Okigwe Township Stadium

In a move to save the club from its current precarious situation in the bottom of the log, Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL side, Abia Warriors have dumped their new home, Enyimba Stadium in Aba for Okigwe Township Stadium, Okigwe, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report
The relocation became imperative following abismal results the club churned out in their last two home games all of which ended in defeats.
The Umuahia War Lords lost their first home match against Akwa United and Jigawa Golden Stars.
The Imama Amapakabo tutored lads are at the bottom of the 2020/2021 NPFL season after losing their four matches in a row.
The club, following their midweek 1-3 defeat to visitors, Jigawa Golden Stars issued the technical crew a three-match must win deadline or be sacked
It was gathered that their relocation will take effect from Matchday 6 against MFM FC of Lagos
It could be recalled that the League Management Company, LMC in November 2020 listed Umuahia Township Stadium – Abia Warriors home ground – among two stadiums for remodeling, consequently the club has been playing their home matches at the city rivals home, Enyimba International FC of Aba’s Stadium.
Okigwe Township stadium has 5, 000 capacity with grass surface.
Abia Warriors are on the road on Matchday 5 of the NPFL in Nnwei, Anambra State where they will face fellow strugglers FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
