The women’s wing of Nigeria Bar Association, Abuja chapter, the Unity Bar Amazons have emerged champions of the 2023 NBA Annual Women’s Football Tournament after thrashing Lagos Branch 4-0 in the final played at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday

They defeated Bayelsa Bar 2-0 on their opening game, pipped Jos Bar by alone goal in their second match and walked over their semi-final opponents before they squared up against the defending champions in the final.

The champions received a giant trophy for their reward while their goalkeeper won the Best Goalkeeper Award.

Speaking to our correspondent, Coach Nkiruka attributed the victory to hard work and players’ commitment. She thanked the members of Abuja Unity Bar for their support adding that the victory would be consolidated going forward.

The 2023 NBA Women’s Annual Football Championship was part of the activities lined up for the 2023 NBA Annual General Congress held in Abuja
