Team Nasarawa defied earlier odds to book a spot in the final of the North Central Zonal Arewa Consultative Forum U-17 Unity Cup Football Tournament.
In the first semi-final clash on Saturday morning at the Lafia City Stadium, Nasarawa State scored 4-2 against Team Niger State, after a struggling start to the game, becoming the first team in the Zone to book a ticket to the final.
In the other semi-final game, Plateau State overpowered Team Kogi 5-3, setting up a final showdown against hosts, Nasarawa, by 10am on Sunday, 16th November, 2025, at the Lafia City Stadium.

According to the Organizers, there will be prizes and other consolation awards to outstanding participants at the finale.
Winners from the North Central Zone will join winners from the North-East and North-West Zones in Kaduna State between November 20th-22nd, 2025, where they will slug it out to determine the eventual champions of the tournament.
The tournament is part of activities to mark the 25th anniversary celebration of the formation of Arewa Consultative Forum, a long-standing, non-partisan Organization that unites leaders and youth from Northern Nigeria to safeguard the region’s interests, promote peace and drive socio-economic progress.
