AFCO 2021: Rohr In Selection Dilemma Ahead Of Benin, Lesotho Clashes

Independent notes that the coach spoke against the backdrop of the return to fitness of some players that missed the friendly against Brazil in Singapore.
It will be recalled that Captain Ahmed Musa, Ola Aina, Oghenekaro Etebo and Samuel Kalu missed the 1-1 against Brazil at the Singapore National Stadium in Kallang, due to injuries.
And feelers from the team indicated that the four players might be available for selection against Benin and Lesotho as the Super Eagles aim to kick-start their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on winning notes.
Rohr has now admitted that he’s facing selection dilemma should these trusted player return to full fitness ahead of the AFCON qualifiers.
“Now what would happen with all these injured players back to fitness?
“If Musa can come back, if Ola Aina can come back and if Etebo too can come back, so we would see what can happen with the top players for these impactful games,” Rohr added.
Nigeria will take on the Squirrels of Benin Republic at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City next month before travelling to Maseru days later to face Lesotho.
