AS Bamako Deny Accra Hearts Of Oak Access To Telecast CAF Confederation Cup Match

Malian club AS Real Bamako have reportedly denied their opponents, Accra Hearts of Oak Access to telecast their today’s CAF Confederation Cup tie
The match will kickoff by 4pm this afternoon at the Stade 26 Mars in Mali but the Ghanaian club were not granted permission to broadcast the match to their teeming fans across the continent.
In a press statement by Hearts of Oak, the club noted that efforts made to get the match telecast was rebuffed by the home side who instead that they do not want live coverage of the match.
“Despite all efforts to telecast live the first leg game of the CAF Confederations Cup match between AS Real Bamako and Hearts of Oak on our App, our request has been turned down by the host. The game will be played today, Saturday, October 8, 2022.
“AS Real Bamako has refused to grant us our request insisting that they do not want any live media coverage of the game which would have enabled our media partners, GTV Sports+ to telecast the match live.
“It is unfortunate we will therefore not be able to give our teaming fans the pleasure of watching the match on the Hearts of Oak App in the comfort of your homes.
“We will however assure our fans that every arrangement will be made with our official media partners, GTV Sports + to broadcast the return leg live,” the club said.
The return leg will hold on October 16 at the Accra Sports Stadium with the overall winning qualifying for the group stage.
