Awwal Abubakar Scores Twice As Bournemouth Thrash Portland In English League

Nigeria’s rising striker, Awwal Abubakar scored a brace on Sunday as his club, Bournemouth Sports FC thrashed visiting Portland FC 6-0 in one of the matches played in the Jewson Dorset Premier Football League in England.
The pacey striker scored his two goals in both halves to hand his side a comfortable home victory.
Abubakar fired the hosts ahead in the 27th minute racing onto a through ball to slot past the Portland keeper who was left helpless over the strikers skillful display.
Abukakar’s strike partner Jack Voisey then fired Sports 3-0 ahead with two quick goals in the 33rd and 40th minute.
In the second half, Sports remained enterprising as they amassed possession and went further ahead when midfield maestro Matt Gane slotted from close range following good work by Jack Voisey.
The Nigerian striker, Awwal Abubakar was on hand again as he grabbed his second and Sports’ 5th goal of the afternoon on the hour mark when played in by Tony Voisey substitute.
Jamie Trimble scored with his first touch in the 85th minute heading home a free kick from James Bergin to complete the rout.
The brace have increased Abubakar’s goal tally to 5 this season with 2 assists as his outstanding performances has propelled Bournemouth Sports FC to 3rd place on the table with a game in hand on the Jewson Dorset Premier Football League with 10 points from four matches.
Awwal Abubakar started three out of Sports’ four matches thus far and his goal-scoring ability has put him in good stead for invitation to Nigeria U-23 team ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic qualifiers
