Bayelsa Queens Coach Domo Okara Is Dead

Former Bayelsa Queens Coach, Domo Ọkara is Dead.

Coach Okara died on Saturday morning, aged 47.

The cause of his sudden death is unknown at press time but Bayelsa Queens confirmed his departure via their social media message.

The club while announcing Coach Ọkara’s demise said he was more than a mentor to the club.

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Technical Adviser, Coach Domo Okara, who left us in the early hours of today.

“Coach Okara was more than a mentor; he was a guiding light for the Bayelsa Queens, leading us with unwavering dedication and heartfelt passion.

“His impact will forever be etched in our hearts and in the history of our team,” the club siad.

Bayelsa Queens further consoled late Coach Ọkara’s family and asked God to strengthen them in their moment of grief.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach Okara’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

“May they find strength and comfort in the cherished memories and legacy he leaves behind. Thank you for everything, Coach. You will be deeply missed.”

Coach Okara is considered one of the female coaches in Nigeria.

He guided Bayelsa Queens to the 2022 Female federation Cup crown as well as winning the 2022 Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL.

In the same 2022, he lead the Bayelsa Queens to 3rd place finish at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

He remains the first ever Nigeria coach to achieve such feat.
