Bayelsa United Management Urges Fans To Comply With COVID-19 Guidelines
The management of Bayelsa United Football Club has appealed to supporters of the team to strictly comply with the Nigeria National League NNL directive to play behind close doors in line with the conditions prescribed by the Presidential Task Force PTF on COVID-19 and Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
The club in a statement notes that the decision to appeal to fans to adhere to the COVID 19 guidelines became imperative following the latest circular sent by the governing body of the second tier league.
According to the statement, the Nigeria Football Federation COVID-19 committee and has directed that any stadium that violates the Covid-19 protocol rules henceforth it’s would be close down indefinitely and appropriate sanction meted out to the State Football Association.
The club further urges all the stakeholders and football enthusiasts to accept the present reality of the COVID-19 pandemic which has prevented fans all over the world from entering match venues. It points out that the move for fans not to watch the team is not intentional but a global practice.
The management of Bayelsa United also appeals to fans to follow the team while at home via the club’s social media platforms to avoid banishment from the Samson Siasia stadium, in order not to impede the chances of the team gaining promotion to the elite Nigeria Professional Football League.
