BREAKING: Daniel Sturridge Banned From Playing Football, Fined
Daniel Sturridge has been banned from playing football for two weeks as well as being slapped with a £75,000 fine after being found guilty of breaching betting rules.
The former Liverpool man was found guilty of breaching betting and was handed a six-week ban, four of which were suspended. He will be free to play on the 31st of July. In November last year, The England international faced eleven misconduct charges, with nine of them concerning alleged breaches of the FA’s “inside information rule”.
The Football Association says it will appeal against the dismissal by an independent regulatory commission of various charges alleging he passed on inside information over a potential transfer in January 2018.
