CAF CC: Wike Motivates Rivers United With N20M To Beat Enyimba In Aba
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has promised players and officials of Rivers United FC a sum of N20 million if they beat Enyimba FC in their Total CAF Confederation Cup final Playoff round first leg game in Aba.
Rivers United are meeting Enyimba after they smashed their Bloemfontein Celtic of South Africa 5 -0 aggregate in January.
Enyimba will host the first leg in Aba on Saturday while the return leg will hold a week later in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Sunday February 21, 2021.
The winner of the two-leg encounter will qualify for the money-spilling group stage of the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup.
In furtherance of his demonstration to boost the fortunes of the River State’s owned clubs – Rivers United and Rivers Angels – the governor donated tow buses to both teams to motivate them in their various leagues.
