Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL champions, Rivers United will on Monday discover their CAF Confederation Cup group opponents as the organisers of the continental second tier league has announced date for the draws.

CAF on Wednesday announced that the draw for the 2022/23 Champions League and Confederation Cup will be conducted on Monday 12 December 2022 in Cairo, Egypt.

In a statement posted on their website, CAF noted that the draw will commence with Confederation Cup before Champions League follows.

A total of 32 teams will be drawn into eight groups with the two best teams progressing to the quarter-final stage.

Rivers United booked their place into the group stage after an emphatic 6-1 aggregate demolition of Al Akhdar of Lybia

The 32 qualified teams are!Al Ahly (Egypt), Al Hilal (Sudan), Al Merrikh SC (Sudan), Atletico Petroleos (Angola), Coton Sport (Cameroon), CR Belouizdad (Algeria) Esperance Tunis (Tunisia), Horoya (Guinea), JS Kabylie (Algeria), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Raja CA (Morocco), Simba SC (Tanzania), Vipers SC (Uganda), Wydad AC (Morocco), Zamalek (Egypt), AS Vita Club (DR Congo)
