Former Flying Eagles assistant coach, Abimbola Samuel has extolled the pragmatic leadership of the FCT Football Association Chairman, Adam Mouktar Mohammed.

Abimbola who is also a Board Member of the FCT FA made the statement in an interview with Best Choice Sports recently following the board’s inaugural meeting held last month after their election on June 20, 2019.

“It is obvious from the way he has started and what he promised FCT football stakeholders during the election that we have a pragmatic leader. A visionary leader who is ready to bring changes into FCT football.

“This is not in any way to ridicule any past leadership in the FCT FA because every leader has his own style of leadership. The past leaders we have had in the board did their best but we are talking about now and there is no way our past would be better than our present and future even.

“They all did their best but Mouktar has come to consolidate the leadership of the board and from what we have seen in few weeks since he came on board, he is pragmatic.

“During our inaugural meeting, he spelt out his plans for football in the federal capital and FCT football followers should be rest assured of new things. There are so many works to be done as far as football is concerned in FCT ranging from facilities, pitches, clubs, coaching, refereeing and a lot more.

“The new FCT Board is a family which extends to the FCT football stakeholders. We believe that collectively, we will improve the standard of the FCT football,” he said.
