Coach Aigbogun Demands Flying Eagles’ Best Against Qatar
Flying Eagles coach, Paul Aigbogun has said he would not take Qatar for granted and demanded that the team must be at their best when both teams clash in their opening group game of the U20 World Cup today.
“There are no easy teams or matches and so we have to be at our best against Qatar,” Aigbogun sounded ahead of the first-ever clash between the two teams at this level.
“We have analysed them with the information we have and they are a decent side.
“We plan to take this tournament a game at a time.”
Enyimba winger Maxwell Effiom assured the Flying Eagles will give a good account of themselves beginning with the Qataris.
“We have worked so hard and hope for a good outing against Qatar tomorrow,” he said.
“We are in Poland to make Nigeria and ourselves proud.”
This will be Nigeria’s 12th appearance at the U20 World Cup, while Qatar will be making their fourth outing.
Both teams reached the semi-finals of their respective qualifying tournaments.
The Flying Eagles will also battle USA and Ukraine in the group rounds of the U20 World Cup.
