Immediate past minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung was today Inducted into the Nigeria Sports Book of Record, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The Induction which took place at the VIP Lounge of the National Stadium Package B, Abuja was part of activities organised by the ministry for his send forth.

Dalung apart from various achievements recorded in the ministry during his tenure was the first ever minister to serve a four-year tenure without being sent to another ministry.

Making the induction, the President, Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Gumel eulogised the giant strides recorded in the ministry under Dalung adding that his over three years in the ministry was a huge success.

Dignitaries at the send forth include the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Olusade Adesola, directors of the ministry, federations’ presidents as well as family members and associates of the minister.

Dalung assumed official duty as Youth and Sports Minister in November 2015 and vacated the office on May 28, 2019, a day before the inauguration of President Buhari for his second tenure on May 29.
