However, in the rescheduled Matchday 8 encounter in Benin, Rangers lost to the Benin Arsenal by 2-1
The rescheduled Match was dramatic following the circumstances that emerged before and during the match. The match earlier scheduled for Wednesday 24th April 2019 at the Uniben Sports Complex could not hold following the inability of Nigeria Referees Association, NRA to send officials who were supposed to officiate the match citing security reasons. The match was later rescheduled again for the next day, 25th April 2019 with another set of officials different from the ones earlier shortlisted by NRA.
The result still placed Rangers on the first position on the Nigerian Professional Football League table with 31 points and 1 outstanding match while Insurance is now out of relegation zone to 6th on the log with 21 points.
