It was supposed to be a cheerful sporty Saturday for the football fraternity in Nigeria particularly in Ogun State but that was never to be as Ogun State-based football club, Easy Well FC was involved in fatal Accident on Saturday morning with the driver of the ill-fated bus reported dead while players were critically injured, Bestchoicesport.com.ng can report.

The club, according to report, Saturday morning were on their way to Ibadan for a scouting programme

The accident occurred at Guru Bridge, Ibadan, Oyo State with the driver confirmed dead and most of the boys in critical conditions

Coach of of the side, Coach Gafar Muhammed who is an ex-Nigeria professional footballer, was part of the traveling team when the road mishap happened.

The cause of the accident is unclear at the time of this report but the injured players are receiving treatments in the hospital

Easy Well FC played the 2021 Ogun State FA Cup final but lost 4-0 to winners, Gateway United.

Nigerian clubs – Akwa United, Oya FC, Wikki Tourists, Ekiti United, Enyimba, among others – have been involved in various road crashes this year.
