By Our Correspondent
Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report authoritatively that no fewer than five European clubs are jostling to sign Water FC of Abuja revelation star player, Makanjuola Success.
Success who won the Man of the Match agog in Flying Eagles of Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with Ukraine at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, has been a bride to various clubs from Europe right from their camping.
The winger who have played just a combined total of 100 minutes in the tournament has shown reflexes and good positioning as well as good crosses from the flank.
Out of the three matches the team played in Group D of the championship, he came from the bench twice – against Qatar (80 th minute) and against USA (70th minute) but started the last match against Ukraine and was substituted on the 70th minute.
The commentator described him as a potential star for the future.
His man-of-the-match performance has raised his profile among scouts who are on the wing waiting to pick him.
A Source in the team camp told Best Choice Sports that the European clubs are from Sweden, Germany, Spain and England.
“Success’s performance yesterday is very glaring and he has been a revelation here. Over five clubs from Europe are seeking for his signature but they are kept away from the camp so as not to distract the players.
“Nigeria qualified for the knockout stage and the officials want the players to have maximum concentration.
“I cannot tell you the names of the clubs yet for obvious reasons but they are from Sweden, Germany, Spain and England. When I checked, they were five scouts but I can tell you that they will increase in numbers,” a source close to the camp tole our correspondent from Poland.
