The Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Enugu State, Hon. The young commissioner stated this in an exclusive interview with our Correspondent in Enugu on Thursday

The Commissioner who said that the Stadium is “essentially ready” following over two years renovation work on the pitch, added that the state government is waiting for the league organisers to come for final inspection and accreditation

“The stadium is ready essentially. There are just a few things that needs to be done before Rangers will come back home. Rangers has two away matches this weekend and the next. We want to use that time to get the league organisers to come and do their accreditation for the stadium and all the administrative things that will allow Rangers to resume playing at the stadium

“That is what we will be doing over the next week and a half so that by December 17, Rangers will have their next home match at the stadium. God willing,” he said

He added that Rangers’ expected return at the Cathedral would be a big Christmas present to the people of the state.

“Bringing Rangers back to the stadium is for all of us, it is for Ndị Enugu. It will be big for us. It will be a good pleasant Christmas present to our people. By the grace of God, we will achieve it.”
