The FCT Football Association has congratulated former Director of Sports, FCT Sports Council Mrs Dilichukwu Onyedinma as she bows out of service.

On October 9th, the curtain drew as former Federal Capital Territory Sports Council, Chief (Mrs) Dilichukwu Onyedinma retired from active service to her Motherland.

Mrs Dilichukwu who has put up 35 years of unquantifiable meritorious service to FCT and Nigeria general retired on Thursday, October 9, 2020 amidst fanfare and goodwill messages by family, colleagues, well wishers as well as sports administrators.

The Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Football Association, Mohammed Adam Mouktar who was among the top sports administrators in the FCT that Congratulated Dr Chief Dilichukwu Oyedinma, the immediate past Director of Sports in the Federal Capital Territory for her successful retirement after diligent meritorious service to the Fatherland.

The Chairman of the FCT FA, Mohammed Mouktar who led a delegation of the FCT FA Board members to the brief ceremony, said the FA was extremely glad to have worked with Madam former Nigeria Women Football League chairperson as Director of Sports in the Territory adding that her legacies will be remembered for a very long time .

The FCT FA boss while thanking the outgoing Ag Secretary Social Development Secretariat for her professionalism, said she will be surly missed and appealed to her not to distance herself from the sports family which she has recorded tremendous achievements.

Responding, delighted Dr Chief Dilichukwu Oyedinma while thanking her guests said, “As I come to the end of my career at FCT, I want to take this opportunity to thank God first and foremost, colleagues and friends who worked with me all these years.

“I wouldn’t have done it without you. Your cooperation made my work easier than it otherwise would have been. I will always cherish the memories of my employment in FCT.

“I will miss you all. Once again, my prayers for you are that you keep the flag of FCT Sports up at any time.”

A release from the FCT Sports Council media department Friday notes that after a long career of public service and utility leadership in the FCT Sports Department of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Dr Chief Dilichukwu Oyedinma in a colorful thank you event which marked her last day in office.

The release noted that the brief event was witnessed by a large crowd of well-wishers, top sports players and administrators who stormed her office with one voice saying “a job well done madam Dilichukwu Oyedinma.”
