Abuja resident are set to witness one of the finest of FCT FA League final on Monday as the 2019 league season winds down.

WACO Football Academy and Winco Foam FC will on Monday, 17th February, 2020 battle for the trophy of the 2019/20 FCT FA League.

WACO FA Wednesday defeated Basic Maracana 2-0 while Winco Foam FC came from behind to outscore Abees FA 2-1 in a tension soaked match.

WACO Academy forward, Peter Agba in the 12th minute dribbled past two Basic Maracana defenders to set himself up on one-on-one situation with the opposing goalkeeper, and skilfully located the far post to give his team a deserved lead.

The first half ended with the 1-0, giving WACO a goal advantage going into the locker room.

WACO Academy captain and striker, Enock Tanimu doubled the advantage in the 75th minute to place his team at the top of the table.

In the second match, Winco Foam came from a goal down to beat the free scoring side,  Abees FA 2-1 to maintain their 100 percent performance. Having played a goalless first half,  Amos Karami 57th minute opener was not enough for his team to secure the all important three points.

Ten minute later, Kingsley Chinedu put Winco back into the game. Henry Onyeka however scored a goal of the tournament contender.

 Henry outmuscled Abees Academy reliable defender, Ezekiel Bala to calmly lifted the ball above Abees keeper who looked helpless as ball rolled into the net.

The win, made both teams (WACO FA and Winco Foam FC) the only two clubs in the Super 4 with six maximum points from two matches.

At the end of the match-day 2 of the Super 4 League, WACO Academy are topping the Super 4 table on goal difference, won two matches scored three goals and conceded no goal.

Winco Foam on the other hand, also have six points from two games, scored 4 goals and conceded two.

Abees FA and Basic Maracana played two matches each without a point. Both teams will play the loser’s final on Monday at 10:00 am.

Meanwhile, on Monday at 3:00pm Winco and WACO Academy will lock horns in a winner takes all final at the Area 3 Stadium Complex.

The eventual champions will represent FCT in the Nigeria Nationwide League Division 3 playoff.
