FCT FA Mourns Coach Nasidi, Commiserates With NFF, Family
The Federal Capital Territory Football Association, FCT FA, this morning commiserated with the Nigeria Football Federation and Niger State Football Association over the death of the former National U15 Boys head coach, Danladi Nasidi Alala.
The Coach who died of failure of heart at 4 :00 am this morning has been buried at 10:00 am same day according to Islamic rite. Before his death, he was admitted at University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada and was discharged when his health condition was improving after spending five days in the hospital.
The Chairman of the nation’s capital football governing body, Mouktar Mohammed received with rude shock the news of the death of the ex-Falcons assistant coach adding that the Nigeria football community would miss his expertise particularly in the grassroots football.
In a condolence message signed by the Association’s Secretary General, Haruna Ilerika, he said; “The entire Board members of the FCT FA commiserated with the family of the deceased, NFF, Niger State FA and Nigeria Coaches Association over the death of Coach Nasidi who died this morning. His death has created a big vacuum in the development of the game at the grassroots.”
He further described him as a rare gem, whose milk of human kindness, milk of encouragement and milk of advice has helped many Nigeria young players to get to the peak of their career.
Before his death, Nasidi was a pioneer coach of NFF Youth Development Programme, he was the assistant coach when the Super Falcon won the African Women Nations Cup, he led the National U15 Boys to Botswana in 2014 and won silver with the same age-grade national in 2018 in Algeria in his last assignment with the NFF.
