FG Gives Condition To Back Amaju Pinnick’s FIFA Council Ambition

The federal government has declared its backing for Nigeria Football Federation NFF President, Amaju Pinnick’s quest to be a member of the FIFA Council but on ground that such ambition must be used to advance Nigeria football, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report
The minister of youth and sports, Sunday Dare who disclosed this Wednesday said the federal government is backing Mr Amaju”s candidature with the hope that his membership of the FIFA Council will bring advancement and development to Nigeria football.
Mr Dare in tweets made on his Twitter handle Wednesday night said that Pinnick’s position on the FIFA Council (if elected) must be used to advance the development of football across the African continent where football has become like a religion.
“Football: A seat at the FIFA Council for Nigeria will be much welcomed. We support Nigeria’s sole candidate, Amaju Pinnick in the full hope that he will use this position to advance the development of football in Nigeria and the prospects of our young footballers wherever found.
“… and apart from Nigeria, this position on the FIFA Council must be used to advance the development of football across the African continent where football has become like a religion,” Mr Dare said.
Election into FIFA Council will hold on 12 March 2021, during the 43rd CAF Elective General Assembly scheduled in Morocco.
