Finally, Pinnick, Dikko, Akinwunmi, Sanusi Appear In Court Over Alleged NFF Corruption Charges

Top Nigeria Football Federation, NFF officials, Amaju Pinnick, Shehu Dikko, Seyi Akinwunmi and Mohammed Sanusi on Tuesday finally appeared before a federal High Court sitting in Abuja over cases bothering on corruption and diversion of money in the federation, Bestchoocesports.com.ng can report.
Amaju Pinnick, NFF President; Seyi Akinwumi, 1st Vice President; Shehu Dikko, 2nd Vice President and Mohammed Sanusi, Secretary-General appeared before the court to clear their names.
This is the first time the four are appearing before the court after they were charged by the Special President Investigation Panel, SPIP as well as other anti-corruption agencies.
The anti-corruption agencies, SPIP, ICPC and EFCC have at various times charged the four persons to court over different cases bothering on corruption.
In September, the Attorney General of the Federation had directed that the three cases be harmonised and and tried as one.
As at the time of this report, the case have not come up for hearing as the presiding judge is attending to other cases but the case is scheduled to come up this morning.
The four had however said they are innocent of the allegations and blamed a section of the media for what they called “media trial”.
