The 2018/2019 FCT FA League second best team have played four warm-up matches with three wins and one draw.

In their first match on Tuesday, 14th January, 2021, the Coach Samuel Abimbola-led lads began the training session with a 1-1 draw against Greater Tomorrow side.

The same scoreline was handed over to Samba FC on Saturday to roundup the week’s training exercise.

Speaking with the FFC Media, coach of the side, Samuel Abimbola said that the scorelines were unnecessary as the essence of the matches was to put the players in good mind ahead of rigorous training, they all undergo ahead of the league resumption.

“Well, to me, the scoreline is not necessary but it is important for boys’ moral. We have not been together for over a year no thanks to Covid-19. And coming back again, we felt there is need to warm the players up ahead of the training for the league.

“I am not surprised with how they played in the matches but a lot of work needs to be done ahead of the league”, he said.

The 2020/2021 NLO season is yet to get official resumption date but the Nigeria Football Federation had earlier directed that the league starts on February 10, 2021
