Nigeria’s U-15 male football team, the Future Eagles on Friday lost their second game at the ongoing 2023 International Dream Cup Championship in Japan after losing scandalously 6-1 to the host, Japan

Alatan Azuka got Nigeria’s only goal in the encounter.

The host recovered from their 2-1 opening day defeat to USA to rekindled their hope of winning their sixth title.

Meanwhile, Netherlands continued their sporadic form as they defeated USA 3-0 to consolidate there leadership of the chart.

Nigeria had on Thursday lost their opening match 1-0 against Netherlands.

They will take on USA in their last match of the tournament on Sunday

“The 🇳🇬Future Eagles buckle under extremely wet conditions in their second group game of the DreamCup in Fukushima.

“Alatan Azuka got Nigeria’s only goal.

“They face the 🇺🇲United States in their next game,” Nigeria Football Federation, NFF said on Friday after the match.

The 2023 U-16 International Dream Cup 2023  is the 7th edition of the tournament, an annual international age-restricted football competition organized by the Japan Football Association (JFA).

It is held at the J-Village Stadium from 31 May to 4 June 2023. Japan were crowned champions for the 5th time.
