The Nigeria Football Federation announced Wednesday last week that the federation and Gernot Rohr, Super Eagles coach have concluded all discussions pertaining to the extension of his contract with the team, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report that not much was reduced from the coach’s salary.

Although the NFF President who disclosed this on his official Twitter handle did not state when the German would sign the new contract, Bestchoicesports.com.ng have gathered that Rohrs salary in his new contract is not far from his current $55, 000 per month.

Rohr prior to the conclusion of the contractual process had said he would accept a pay cut to manage the three-time Africa Cup of Nations champions.

However, findings by this paper indicate that Gernot Rohr will be earning $49, 000; $6,000 short of his current take home pay.

Among several new conditions given to Rohr by the NFF are the mandates to win the 2021 AFCON and also qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Since taken over the reigns as Eagles gaffer, Rohr has played a total of 49 matches, with 29 wins, 11 draws and 9 loses.

His best record in the team were qualification to Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup where the team crashed out at the group stage and winning bronze at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
