Go For The Gold – Adeniyi Charges Eaglets

Golden Eaglets defender, Adeniyi Oluwatimilehin has charged his colleagues to go for gold in the on going U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
In an exclusive interview, Adeniyi who was an integral part of the Manu Garba team that cliched the WAFU B ticket for the championship in Niger last year but was excluded from the team due to injury, congratulated his teammates for booking the ticket to represent Africa in Brazil adding that he is proud of them.
The IB Sporting Dream FC player bemoaned the injury which kept him away from fighting with the team for the trophy however urged them to be focused as his spirit and soul is with them
“This injury may have kept me from fighting together on the pitch with you my fellow warriors, but my heart and soul is with you all. Congratulations brothers.
“Lets go on to win the African championship and make Nigeria proud. I am back on my feet, we will conquer the world together,” he told Bestchoicesports.com.ng.
Adeniyi Oluwatimilehin was an integral part of Manu Garba’s Golden Eaglets and scored Nigeria’s fourth goal against Cote d’Ivoire in their 5-1 victory against their rivals during the WAFU B Championship in Niger.
He suffered a broken fibula during the team’s warm up match in camp in Abuja early this year.
He is recovering fast after his surgery and is expected to be back on the pitch in May.
The Nigeria Football Federation has taken charge of his medical bills and the Eaglets coach, Manu Garba had hoped to take him to Tanzania but the injury.
He told our correspondent in Abuja before the team’s departure for Tanzania “Adeniyi is a great player. That we are not going to Tanzania with him is difficult to believe but we wish him well and quick recovery.”
