Handball Federation Lauds Prudent Energy On N5.5 Million Palliatives For Clubs

The Handball Federation of Nigeria, HFN, has commended its partner and league title sponsor, Prudent Energy and Services Ltd for donating N5.5 to palliative to the Premier League players and clubs to cushion the impact of coronavirus, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The HFN President Mr. Samuel Ocheho who gave the commendation Sunday praised the oil and Gas Company for donating the money to serve as palliative to the league players during the challenging times of coronavirus pandemic that is ravaging the country and the entire world.

The sponsor of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier league, approved the sum of N5.5million as palliatives to be shared among players of the league with each club expected to receive the sum of N250, 000.00.

There are a total of 22 clubs in the league

Mr Ocheho, said the palliative would help to cushion the economic effect of the coronavirus pandemic that the players are facing.

“A big thanks to our sponsor for remembering us at this difficult time

“This is their own way of showing to the players that they care and as sponsors will continue to do all to make players comfortable,” Ocheho said

 Ocheho on behalf of the Nigeria Handball family, assured that the monies will be evenly distributed, revealed that the sponsor are eager for the league to commence as soon as the relevant health authorities give the go ahead.

“Prudent Energy look forward to the league resuming post COVID-19 so that handballers can continue doing what they love doing best”.

The phase one of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League which was to hold in Abuja in April was postponed indefinitely as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Nigeria as at May 10th has a total of 4399 confirmed cases of coronavirus also referred to as COVID-19, 778 discharged cases and 143 deaths
