Heartland General Manager Sacked Over Insubordination

Ahead of the kick-off of 2019/20 Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL on November 3rd, 2019, the management of Heartland FC have dismissed the General manager of the club, bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.

The former GM, Chukwudi Ifeanyi, we learnt was sacked as a result of insubordination.

Heartland has been engulfed in internal power tussle rampaging the NPFL side which led the management to terminate the appointment of the former GM Tuesday.

It could be recalled that there has been uneasy calm between the Board Chairman Mr Ezenkem and the General Manager Mr Chukwudi Ifeanyi.

This came to a climax last week when the Board decided to suspend the General Manager on the orders of the Board Chairman, and the General Manager was directed to stay from the 14 October LMC/Club Owners meeting held in Abuja to determine the kick off date of the League.

The General Manager Exclusivenews was told, flaunted the order, and attended the meeting, ensuring that Heartland presented two camps in the meeting. However, the League Managers we were told, recognized the General Manager ahead of the Chairman of the club who happened to be the Chairman of PDP in Imo State.

In a letter dated October 15 signed by the Secretary to Imo State Government, Uche Onyegbucha, and addressed to the Chairman of LMC, the government confirmed the indefinite suspension of the General Manager Mr Chukwudi Ifeanyi and directed the league body to deal with Board of the club in all activities involving the club. The letter was copied the Club Owners and Imo state FA.

Heartland will begin its campaign in the new season against MFM at home.
