HFN Suspends Handball Matches Indefinitely Over Coronavirus

The Handball Federation of Nigeria, HFN has suspended all handball matches, leagues and activities in the country indefinitely over the spread of dread coronavirus also known as COVID-19, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
HFN issued the suspension on Thursday following reported cases of increased spread of the virus in the country.In a statement released, the federation said, it have suspended all handball activities including the commencement of Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020 phase one because of the dreaded coronavirus.


“The Handball Federation of Nigeria have suspended all handball activities including the commencement of Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020 phase one because of the dreaded coronavirus,” the statement on Thursday read.


It could be recalled that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Wednesday suspended all football matches just as the federal government issued a directive same day limiting public gatherings.


Nigeria currently has confirmed 5 cases of COVID-19.
