Hon. Henry Osaro Asemota Saturday emerged as new chairman of Edo Football Association (EFA) after securing six votes to edge out Hon. Frank Ilaboya who scored four out of the total ten vote cast, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The emergence of Hon Asemota, former Executive Director of sports in Governor Adams Oshiomhole ‘s administration in the keenly contested election held at the 4th Mechanized Brigade Army Headquarters in Benin, automatically stalled the process of determining who wins the position of the vice chairman between incumbent vice chairman, Alex Olaye and Fred Erhunmwunsee both of whom are of Edo South.

According to the status of the association, a particular senatorial district cannot produce chairman and vice at the same time.
