It is rare in Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL for players to write a farewell message to clubs after they left them for another but former Enyimba FC of Aba defender, Ifeanyi Anaemena has done something remarkable, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

Anaemena who left Enyimba to join neighbours, Rivers United has penned an emotional farewell message to the clubs fans and administrators.

The combative defender, nicknamed
“NPFL Van Dijk” left the 2018/2019 NPFL champions to join Rivers United after 6 glorious years with the Aba Elephants

In a goodbye message he sent to the club on Tuesday, Anaemena thanked the Enyimba fans for their support during his six years with the club and declared that the memories he shared with them will not be forgotten.

“As you all might have heard in the news, my very successful six years sojourn to Aba, home of the People’s Elephant is over.
I have agreed a move to our neighbours Rivers United after a glorious time with Enyimba.

“I am penning this note to thank you guys for all you have been to me during my time with Enyimba, one of the greatest clubs in the country.
You made me one of your own with great support and constant adulation.
Playing in front of the ever passionate Enyimba faithful was the biggest points of my career so far.

“The victories we won together, the defeats we suffered together and the songs of praise we sang together, I will never forget them.
The alias you gave me “NPFL Van Dijk” and the trust and belief you had in me. I will never take them for granted,” he said.

Anaemena also thanked the clubs management adding that despite having differences on issues, he hold not grudges against them.

He thank management for ensuring that all his due rights were given to him and wished the club all the best in the future.

“I will also not forget the club Administrators, we may have had our differences in the end but I still cherish my experience with you.
I leave the club without any form of hatred or bitterness and I must thank you for making sure all my entitlements were never denied me. I appreciate that.

“I have started another chapter of my life of which I remain hopeful of more successes.
Our paths will surely cross more in the future and all I wish you all is the best and nothing but the best.
