Jackson Imandi Is Volleyball Players Association of Nigeria’s New President

Former Chairman of Federal Capital Territory Volleyball Association, FCTVA, Mr Jackson Imandi has been elected as the Chairman of Volleyball Players Association of Nigeria, VPAN, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
VPAN an umbrella body of Nigerian Volleyball stakeholders both at home and in the diaspora is made up of Active and former players, coaches, officials and administrators.
The election which was conducted on the WhatsApp platform of the group due to covid-19 pandemic had Voters both local and in the diaspora participating in the event the voting process which saw many positions going unopposed because of the quality of contestants and their track records
Jackson Imandi emerging as the president after recording 73 votes.
In his acceptance speech, the new president promised to
work with the federation in ensuring that volleyball returns to at least 2nd best ball game in Nigeria where ”we were in the 80s and 90s while also. We will also Improve the welfare of players,” he added
He also promised to work with ex-internationals and export quality talents to top volleyball nations so that the nation can harvest their skills.
“We want to break the dominance of Cameroon and the North Africans in the sports” he concluded
