Lobi Stars Close In On Veteran NPFL Goal Keeper, Obiozor

Nigeria Professional Football League side Lobi Stars are close to signing veteran Goalkeeper David Obiozor.

Obiozor is now a free agent after leaving Plateau United at the end of his contract has been in discussions with Lobi Stars as well as numerous South-South clubs. In addition to that Obiazor is also in talks with his former side Kano Pillars.

However, Obiazor who is a former Kano pillars goalkeeper seemed to be determined to join Lobi Stars who want to bounce back in the upcoming 2020/21 NPFL season after missing out narrowly last season.

Lobi Stars are expected to make an announcement in the coming hours in what will be their first major signing.

Obiozor also played for Kano Pillars and was in goal in the 2018 Aiteo Cup that Rangers International FC came from 3 goals down to snap a 3-3 draw in the final in Delta state. Rangers won the cup via penalty shootout,
