Mark D Ball Basketball Championship Holds In Abuja Next Month

The next edition of the Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship will hold in Abuja in January 2022 with both male and female categories featuring.
Organisers of the national grassroots basketball competition made the announcement in Abuja during the unveiling of the competition to the basketball fraternity and the global community.
Speaking during the unveiling in Abuja on Tuesday, the sponsor of the championship, Igoche Mark stated that unlike the previous editions which held in Gboko, Benue State, the 2022 edition will hold at the Nigeria’s Centre of of Unity, Abuja.
He explained that the female category will kick-off the championship and will last for 8 weeks while the male’s category which will.last for about three months will follow
He said the championship will start on January 8 with 20 teams, to be followed by the male competition to kick off on January 22.
Mark noted that the male event expected to feature 12 team will run for 12 weeks.
Mark, the founder of Mark Mentors, said registration is open to all the teams from across the country adding that the winners will be presented with trophies and yet-to-decided cash prizes.
Mr Mark who is contesting for the North-Central zone representative in the board 9f the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF, said that the championship is his own continuation to the sustainable development of basketball in the country.
