The 24-year-old completed the loan move from La Liga outfit Levante on Thursday.

Simon revealed that he joined Nantes in order to get more playing time.

“I am at FC Nantes to give my best and to be part of the club’s aspiration of the season.” Moses Simon told ScoreNigeria.

“It gladdens my heart to know that former Super Eagles player played here in the past and the fans still remember Samson Siasia.

“Playing week in, week out is the major target of any player and I am not an exemption of that. I want to play football regularly to justify what I earn, that is the reason of me going to France.”

Simon is the third Nigeria international to join a French club this summer following Victor Osimhen and Henry Onyekuru’s arrival at Lille and Monaco respectively.

He was a member of the Super Eagles squad that won bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
